【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoversthestructuraldesignofcorrugatedsteelpipeandpipe-arches,ribbedandcompositeribbedsteelpipe,ribbedpipewithmetallic-coatedinserts,closedribsteelpipe,compositecorrugatedsteelpipe,andsteelstructuralplatepipe,pipe-arches,andunderpassesforuseasstormsewersandsanitarysewers,andotherburiedapplications.Ribbedandcompositeribbedsteelpipe,ribbedpipewithmetallic-coatedinserts,closedribsteelpipe,andcompositecorrugatedsteelpipeshallbeofhelicalfabricationhavingacontinuouslockseam.Thispracticeisforpipeinstalledinatrenchorembankmentandsubjectedtoearthloadsandliveloads.Itmustberecognizedthataburiedcorrugatedsteelpipeisacompositestructuremadeupofthesteelringandthesoilenvelope,andbothelementsplayavitalpartinthestructuraldesignofthistypeofstructure.ThispracticeappliestostructuresinstalledinaccordancewithPracticeA798/A798MorA807/A807M.1.2Corrugatedsteelpipeandpipe-archesshallbeofannularfabricationusingrivetedorspot-weldedseams,orofhelicalfabricationhavingacontinuouslockseamorweldedseam.1.3Structuralplatepipe,pipe-arches,underpasses,andarchesarefabricatedinseparateplatesthat,whenassembledatthejobsitebybolting,formtherequiredshape.1.4Thisspecificationisapplicabletodesignininch-poundunitsasA796orinSIunitsasA796M.Inch-poundunitsandSIunitsarenotnecessarilyequivalent.SIunitsareshowninbracketsinthetextforclarity,buttheyaretheapplicablevalueswhenthedesignisdoneperA796M.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
